New York Virtuoso Singers Concert

The Choral Music of John Corigliano and Mark Adamo
April 11, 2010 • 3 PM
St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church, NYC

Pre-concert talk with Mr. Corigliano and Mr. Adamo at 2 PM

In a unique celebration of two of America’s leading contemporary composers, The New York Virtuoso Singers present a program including all of the chamber choral works of John Corigliano and a representative sampling of Mark Adamo’s choral music. Pulitzer Prize-winning Mr. Corigliano continues to add to one of the richest, most unusual, and most widely celebrated bodies of work any composer has created over the last forty years. Composer-librettist Mark Adamo, acclaimed by critic Alex Ross as “one of the best opera composers of the moment,” has lately ventured into choral work with striking assurance.
Guest Artist: soprano Emily Pulley.

In three glorious Sunday afternoon concerts at St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church, plus a special Saturday evening concert at Symphony Space (95th St. and Broadway). Each concert will be preceded by a panel discussion with featured composers and performers, free to ticket holders.
