Open Auditions for Gloves Off! A Hockey Opera in Three Acts

Open Audition For Singers:

A brand new opera, Gloves Off! A Hockey Opera in Three Acts, written by Vancouver Islander, Susan Hannah Rankin, is scheduled to be workshopped November 9, 15,  and 27.

Singers will be paid a small honorarium to perform the workshops which will be videotaped and recorded.  All singers will have both solo and choral parts.  Sightsinging ability is required.  Although singers may read from sheet music during the workshop, they will be expected to learn their parts, for all sixteen songs, on their own time.  There will be four  rehearsals (weekends in October).

The following voices are needed:

1 Soprano
1 Mezzo
1 Alto
1 Countertenor
2 Tenors
2 Baritones
1 Bass

Auditions will be held Sept 18th and 19th.  Please phone or  email to arrange for a scheduled audition time.  Include your voice type, range,  and phone number in emails and phone messages.  Subject line should read AUDITION.
