Central City Opera Announces Casting for 2013 Festival
Denver, Colo.- The show-stopping line up of nationally renowned artists has been selected for Central City Opera’s (CCO) 2013 Festival, which also marks the organization’s 81st year. Running June 29 to Aug. 11, the Festival offers the best of both worlds. It opens with two new productions in the Central City Opera House featuring Rossini’s comedic opera, The Barber of Seville and Ned Rorem’s opera,Our Town, based on the classic Pulitzer Prize winning play by Thornton Wilder. The CCO Festival then comes to Denver with a new production of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II’s glorious American musical, Show Boat, which will only be performed at the Buell Theatre in the Denver Performing Arts Complex.
Single tickets, starting at $20 for main stage productions, are available for purchase beginning March 1 for CCO’s 2013 Festival.
