Mozart predicts Wife Swap Reality Show?

by Melissa Wimbishwife swap

Not really, it’s just COSI! Mozart’s classic interpretation of  female inconstancy. As if. (For those of you who are not familiar with the story, CCO provides links to some great synopses on their site.)

Chesapeake Concert Opera will present Cosi fan tutte this weekend at Memorial Episcopal Church in Baltimore. Performances are on Friday, January 22nd and Saturday, January 23rd at 8:00pm featuring Rebecca Gordon (Fiordiligi), Kala Maxym (Dorabella), Jennifer Edwards (Despina), Colin McNamara (Ferrando), Tad Czyzewski (Guglielmo), Jason Buckwalter (Don Alfonso), and Sophia Vastek on the keys! Student tickets are only 10 bucks!

“This informative banter will replace the majority of the recitative, allowing the audience to focus on the music, the storyline, and the opera’s “greatest hits” without worrying about translating rapid-fire Italian.  As with most concert opera, the performance will be without staging or sets.  Our cast will wear their own gorgeous attire and will use their voices and characters to transport you to a place filled with beautiful music.” Chesapeake Concert Opera
