Lakme’s Bell Song sung by Natalie Dessay is one of the most enjoyable interpretations of this gorgeous aria. Here’s what staccato really means .. at least for singing. It’s not some clenched pop of air that’s over before you even begin the sound — it’s a gorgeous, round, detached tone. Still working on that myself…oy. Way to go, Nat!
