Musical Term of the Week

by Melissa Wimbish

So, basically Allegretto is Allegro’s slower sidekick… which always confuses me. I have love for Quailman, but I feel like Quaildog is way faster. I thought -etto made the root of the word a smaller version of itself, thus a faster version? Totes opposite:

Allegro - Fast

Allegretto - A little slower than Allegro
