Musical Term of the Week

by Melissa Wimbish

Any Bobby Brown fans in the house? Not the makeup lady, but Whitney’s old drug dealer/ex-husband. When I was growing up, one of my father’s favorite albums was Don’t Be Cruel and I always remembered hearing those ghastly sounding interludes.

Zwischen-spiel – An interlude played between the verses of a hymn. (Virginia Tech Multimedia Music Dictionary)

Bonus! Not one of his interludes…but a classic finger-snapper.
