Opera In The Gardens

Edmonton Opera and the Devonian Botanic Garden present Opera Al Fresco at the Devonian Botanic Garden, June 18th from 7-10pm. This captivating evening of enchanting opera performances, strolls along lush garden paths and delectable hors d’oeuvres provides guests with an unforgettable Solstice celebration. With 190 idyllic acres to explore, the University of Alberta Devonian Botanic Garden caters to plant enthusiasts, nature lovers and now music aficionados of all ages. Guests will venture through the forest-lined paths of the Alpine Garden; past the lilac, rose and peony beds of the Pine Pavilion and Primula Dell; and conclude the evening in the breathtaking Kurimoto Japanese Garden. Edmonton Opera Chorus members will perform favourite arias from a number of popular operas, ranging from Madama Butterfly to La Bohème. With a twist on the traditional opera finale, guests can showcase their vocal talents in an opera sing-along.

Prices are $45 for adults, $15 for children and $35 for Edmonton Opera Subscribers and Friends of the Garden Members.
