Question of the Week

by Melissa Wimbish

Everybody has something to say about the grand high diva’s rock album. You can’t bring it up at a singer party and not get bowled over with opinions! I never really sat down and listened to the record until just now, and you know, it’s not bad. Now, I’m not saying I would add it to my Renee Lullaby playlist, but I would certainly choose this record over many other pop albums if it was a “Would you rather” situation.

So, what’s your opinion on this for real? Do you think more classically trained superstars should bridge this gap? It seems like it would only help our struggle to stay alive and in-demand? What do you think?

  1. If it wasn’t for Renee’s Dark Hope album, I would not have discovered opera.
Heard her singing Hallelujah on the promo and fell head over heels in love with her voice.
Rushed out and bought the album…then Haunted Heart…then The Beautiful Voice…and didn’t stop until I had them all!
There is something in her voice that resonates with my soul.
