Question of the Week

by Melissa Wimbish

Happy Halloween, Operagasm readers! Here’s a question to ponder on this day of spookiness and candy:

What Mozart opera do you think would do well with a vampire spin?

Magic Flute might be a little too creepy — there are usually lots of kids in the audience. Maybe if just the Queen and her entourage were the vampires.

Cosi fan tutte would just be too weird and irrelevant if there were vampire protagonists. But who knows, maybe one of you brilliant directors out there will find a way.

Being abducted by vampires could make Abduction from the Seraglio way more interesting.

Leave your blood-thirsty thoughts below! Muahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa
