Question of the Week

Question of the Week

by Melissa Wimbishcolbert

Do American gun rights allow guns at the opera?

Apparently they’re allowed at church in Louisiana. Now that makes complete sense. If it has to be any state, at least it’s Louisiana. I guess this means if you get bored at church you can just shoot yourself, and as a double-perk, your relatives don’t even have to transport you for the funeral service. If you shot yourself at the opera though, it would just be rude. Probably more rude than rattling your program.

On a recent episode of The Colbert Report, host Stephen Colbert discussed second amendment rights with Ilya Shapiro of the Cato Institute and executive director of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, Jackie Hilly. Click here to watch the full episode.
