Question of the Week

by Melissa Wimbishhaterade

Why do other musicians hate singers so much?

Is it because we would never dream of wearing crusty jeans and sneakers to a performance class? Do they think we are less of musicians than they are? Of course there are some slimy people in the throat world, but we’re not the only ones! There is haughtiness oozing from the strings, cattiness hissing from the winds, and hate slamming into my face from the percussion!!! This is mad. Mad crazy.

How do we overcome these pissed-off posses of instrumentalists? How do we form an alliance and prove that most of us are really down-to-earth people, just very confused most times about most things? Share your thoughts!

  1. Singers are not tormented enough. They give off personas which are cheerful and polished. Put together. They have backpacks on wheels. They just don’t seem gloomy very often and that’s why I’m wary of them :) :) :) ;0 :)

  2. Having said this, I CERTAINLY do not hate them! I highly appreciate them!
