Website of the Week

by Melissa Wimbish

No, it’s not exactly Facebook…

How much time do you spend trying to hunt down an affordable and available pianist for an upcoming gig, and that audition next month…oh! AND that competition the following month in bumf*#$ Maryland?

Sitting at your computer, sending emails, and waiting. That’s usually the order of the game, but thanks to smarter people than us, this doesn’t have to be the case anymore!

Fancy Facebook groups such as “INSERT YOUR CITY NAME Area Vocal Accompanists” are the next amazing upgrade of the find-a-fabulous-accompanist-future. Sure, there are things like Linkedin and Google Plus, but this simple Facebook concept is a wonderfully efficient method for local projects (and quick finds!). Plus, it will help you build your own little black book of musicians.

Find one in your city today! Keep the networking alive!
